Saturday School Student Interns
May 2025
Thanks to your continued support, our foundation provided stipends to eight CSF and NHS students who volunteered in the University Bound Initiative (UBI) Saturday School. Through this mentorship, they helped Edison Elementary students improve in STEAM, Language Arts, Math, and Music. Your generosity empowers both volunteers and young learners alike.

Robotics Coding
March 2025
Our foundation purchased Finch Robots 2.0 from Birdbrain Technologies to enhance Edison Elmentary's Saturday School program, where students learned how to code through hands-on, engaging activities that spark creativity and build essential STEAM skills.

Egg Shakers for Edison's Music Class
February 2025
Egg shakers are used to help students practice a steady beat and explore various rhythm patterns while engaging with different songs. They were one of the items purchased by music teachers at Edison Elementary using the Barbara J. Hughes Memorial Fund donation to support music education in the classroom.

Book Donation 2024
Barbara J. Hughes Memorial Fund donated reading books for every fourth grader at Edison Elementary School. Your generosity helps foster a love of reading and supports literacy development, ensuring each student has the tools they need to succeed.

End of the Year Assembly; Alley Cats 2023
Two performances help set off summer for all Edison Elementary students. We wanted to share Barbara's love for music by inviting the Alley Cats, a Doo-Wop group, serving up a perfect blend of 1950's & 60's hits. Your support helped fund the assemblies and encourage students' love for music.
STEAM Fair 2023
at Edison Elementary
We supported the STEAM Fair 2023 at Edison Elementary. We were able to provide Dave and Buster gift cards to 1st and 2nd place winners. Your support encouraged students to participate, increasing the number of project submissions from 14 to 44. Eight students received $100 gift cards for winning first place and twelve students received $50 for second place.

Fourth grade classrooms at Edison Elementary receive donation of books The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, by Kate DiCamillo. Every 4th grade student receives their own copy to take home.
